IMU Sustainability Student Club Recycled Paper Wastes on Our Campus

IMU Sustainability Student Club continues its social responsibility project initiated to recycle the waste paper collected and sorted from used corporate papers within our university.

IMU Sustainability Student Club organised a ‘Handmade Paper Workshop’ on December 18, 2024 in cooperation with IMU Sustainability Office in order to transform the corporate paper waste in our university into seed paper. The workshop was held at the IMU Sustainability Office with the participation of IMUSUS members. In the workshop, 100gr paper was transformed into 13 A5-sized new papers.

Members of the IMU Sustainability Student Club stated that they will continue their work at full speed in line with the goal of recycling waste paper generated in campus areas.

During the production phase, flower seeds collected by the community members from natural areas were used. Thus, it was aimed both to contribute to the zero waste policy on campus and to minimise resource consumption.
