Istanbul Medeniyet University Career Week Events were Held

As part of the Career Week at the Education Summit organised by Istanbul Medeniyet University, two important interview events were held by the Young Educators Student Club on 9 May 2024. These events with the theme of ‘Teachers of the Future’ were held at the Ziraat Bank Library Conference Hall and the leading names of the education world met with the participants.

The first interview of the day was held with Zeki ÇOBANOĞLU, the founder of Final Schools. ÇOBANOĞLU shared his academic career and life experiences with the participants. ÇOBANOĞLU also mentioned that teachers have a social responsibility on the development of society and drew attention to the power of teachers to create social impact.

The second interview was given by Yusuf Islam AKAY, General Manager of TZDEV. After raising awareness about his field, AKAY organised interactive activities with the participants and the participants were included in the presentation. In the event, the subtle nuances between staying in the flow and making a difference were discussed. In order to provide quality education, suggestions were made in the training seminar for the participants to create awareness in line with sustainable education goals in every environment and in every work they do, starting from their education life to their active working life in the field. In the event, AKAY emphasised the importance of providing equal opportunities in education and stressed that it is an indisputable fact that new areas will be created wherever there is sincerity and courage. With these activities, the participants had the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.

Approximately 85 people attended both dialogues. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the events and stated that such events were useful in terms of career planning and contributed to the development of a sustainable education vision. At the end of the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented to our participating professors.
