Istanbul Medeniyet University students organised a charity sale in line with the aims of reducing social inequalities and economic empowerment. On Tuesday May 23, 2023, the proceeds from the charity bazaars held in South Campus Block C and Ziraat Bank Library were transferred to aid projects for the citizens affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquake on 6 February 2023.
This activity, which attracted great interest among university students, was carried out on a voluntary basis and brought together students from different departments of Istanbul Medeniyet University around a common social responsibility project.
The main purpose of the charity sale was to combat social and economic inequalities, to provide financial empowerment and to contribute to poverty alleviation and those struggling with poverty. In this context, the proceeds from the charity sales organised by Istanbul Medeniyet University students were allocated to appropriate projects under the administrative disposal of the university to be used in line with the goals of social protection and reducing economic inequalities.
