Istanbul Medeniyet University Rectorate organized the Foster Family and Adoption Service Model Introduction Meeting on 19 March 2025 at the Central Library Ziraat Bank Hall in order to inform those interested in adoption and becoming a foster family. Psychologist Mustafa Yücedağ from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services’ Foster Family and Adoption Unit took part in the event as a speaker.
The event started with an informative presentation on “Foster Family and Adoption Service” by Psychologist Mustafa Yücedağ. In the program, important information was shared about the opportunities offered to reunite children in need of protection, who grow up without a family in orphanages and whose care cannot be provided by their biological families for a period of time for various reasons, with their families. Contributing to the goal of reducing inequalities, the event addressed the conditions under which citizens can adopt children or become foster parents. In addition, in line with the principles of social equality, participants were provided with detailed information on important issues such as foster family services, the conditions required to become a foster family, children in need of protection and the opportunities provided by the state to foster families.
