Assoc. Prof. Kevser KOÇ, the head of the Basic Education Department, was a speaker at the seminar titled “e-Twinning Meetings: Cosmic Education and Nature Awareness in the Montessori Approach” held on April 24, 2021.
The seminar was moderated by Project Initiator Ayşe Figen ÇAVUŞ. In her speech, KOÇ emphasized what teachers and parents can do for children within the framework of cosmic education, which has been developed in the Montessori approach to help children gain a more holistic outlook toward humans’ place in the nature. She also introduced the activities that teachers can do in classrooms and parents at home, the environments they can offer, and the questions they can ask in order to raise a nature-friendly generation.
Following a fruitful session with teachers and parents participating from various provinces, the seminar ended with a Q&A session.
