For the November 24 Teachers’ Day, an event titled “Education Summit in Medeniyet” was organised by IMU-PDR Student Club, Young Educators Student Club and Young Values Student Club. The event took place on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Ziraat Bank Library Conference Hall.
IMU PDR Student Club invited Dr.Merve TEZEL to our university as a speaker within the scope of the event. Dr. Merve TEZEL shared her knowledge and experiences in the teaching process with the participants and became both an example and a guide for future teachers. In the event, Dr Merve TEZEL also gave information on qualified education methods based on various researches and personal experiences. This event was extremely useful for the career plans and professional development of the students of the Faculty of Educational Sciences. Students had the opportunity to observe the work carried out in public or private institutions, the education system, teaching studies and learning environments and gained detailed information about these studies. In this way, the students had the chance to see how the theoretical knowledge is applied in practice and aimed to improve the quality of education. In addition, by comparing the conditions of public and private schools, students will be able to create a plan for providing equal opportunities in education. It has been stated that such experiences enable students to be better prepared for the situations they will encounter in their future careers and increase their motivation for their professions.
