IMU Career Club hosted Adem KAYAR, who is the founding partner of MCS Automation and MCS Factory Digitalization group companies and also the general manager, with his speech titled “Industry 4.0 and Digitalization” at the online event held on November 5, 2021 at 21.00.
KAYAR, who is an expert in industrial automation and digitalization, took part in many national and international projects on smart factories, Industry 4.0 and digitalization and he shared his professional experiences on this subject with our students at the event. He talked about the automation activities they carry out in many sectors such as white goods, food, packaging, casting, textile, glass, automotive and iron and steel. He conveyed the development story of the company’s consultancy activities for process innovation in production with its process and machine automation software, which is developing and diversifying day by day.
KAYAR talked about the industrial innovations brought by applications such as smart reactor application, basket traceability application, bench traceability application and web robot application developed in factory automation systems and the importance of the economic productivity provided by these innovations in the industry. He explained that thanks to the consultancy they gave to the digital transformation of enterprises by making use of these applications, factory production systems have switched to cloud technology, production processes have become easier and the resource use in production has been reduced. Stating that the procedures related to the machines can be followed and faults can be resolved remotely thanks to the artificial intelligence applications used, KAYAR said, “Although we had never seen Chile, we operated the systems remotely and delivered them to our customers. We have been controlling the Chilean airport system for 3-4 years. You don’t need to go to the field for this”. He explained to the students with examples of the digital transformation that the industrial production system is rapidly entering in our age.
Stating that digitalization will inevitably shape the future, KAYAR advised students to get used to digitalization before it’s too late to be successful in business life, to improve themselves in this regard, and to acquire a component from the digital field as a hobby, no matter what profession they are in. In the event, to which our students showed great interest, vocational training was provided to the participants with the knowledge and experience conveyed by KAYAR, a pioneer and important name in his profession.
