Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Health Sciences organized a training titled “Introduction and Use of Bioimpedance Analyzer” for students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. The event, held on February 28, 2025 at the Kartal-Cevizli Campus, addressed the practical aspects of how to perform body analysis, which is important for a healthy lifestyle, with a bioimpedance device and how to interpret the results.
In the event held within the scope of the Determination of Nutritional Status and Nutritional Problems and Epidemiology in Society courses, the bioimpedance analyzer, one of the body analysis measurement devices frequently used by students in their professional practices, was introduced.
At the event, Dietician Zeynep Kekeç explained the scientific basis of the bioimpedance analysis method, its areas of use and the measurement process to the participants. Kekeç conveyed the technical details on the correct use of the device and showed how the measurement results should be evaluated with practical examples.
The event, which offered a free vocational training opportunity for students of the Nutrition and Dietetics department, ended with a Q&A session where questions from participants were answered.
