Students of the Department of Health Management Organized an Exhibition on Global Recycling Day to Raise Awareness on Responsible Production and Consumption

In order to draw attention to Global Recycling Day and raise awareness of responsible production and consumption, the 18 March Global Recycling Day and Sustainability Exhibition, which includes the works of Health Management students, was held at Istanbul Medeniyet University. On March 17, 2025, great interest was shown to the exhibition held in the Foyer Area of Cevizli Campus. The exhibition, which was open to the public, contributed to local art.

While the event aimed at promoting sustainable living opportunities in individuals and raising awareness of waste recycling, the students wanted to show the participants that environmental pollution can be reduced through the reuse of resources and that recycling is not only a necessity but also a creative process.

The exhibition included soaps and candles made from waste oils, decorative pillows made from old shirts, kitchen aprons made from reused pants, prayer rugs made from old sweater threads and other upcycling products.

This event, organized within the scope of sustainable development goals, was remembered as an important event that both contributed to environmental awareness and showed how recycling can be integrated into our lives with a responsible production and consumption approach.
