On May 25, 2022, the members of the Yeniler Club of our university distributed the cat food provided by the members of the community in the South and North campuses of our university.
Members of the Yeniler Club organized this event based on the difficulties that stray animals face in finding food due to urbanization and concretization, which causes the gradual decrease in green spaces. In this event, which was started with the aim of helping the stray animals living on the land, the club members mentioned the hadith of the Prophet which “Every animal, from the smallest to the largest, is valuable as the work of Allah and has been entrusted to man by Him. Human beings are obliged to be fair, compassionate and merciful towards animals.” Based on this hadith, community members held an exemplary event in terms of community-based conservation of stray animals.
