Our Faculty Member’s “Dede Korkut Book” has been Published

Turkish Language and Literature Department lecturer Assoc. Dr. Ahmet Şefik Şenlik‘s work on the recording and preservation of the Dede Korkut Heritage, one of the most important sources in the history of Turkish language and culture and included in the “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” list by UNESCO in 2018, has been completed. In the published Dede Korkut stories book, ŞENLİK also simplified the original texts in accordance with the general reader profile and contributed to the transfer of cultural heritage to Turkish youth attending secondary education.

The thirteenth story (Günbet Copy), which was not included in previous editions, was also included in the third edition of the book, which was published by Kırmızı Kedi Publications. The reference to the book can be found below:
