The Project,Led by Assoc.Prof. Ayşegül SAĞKAYA GÜNGÖR, to Provide Vocational Training in Various Branches to Women Entrepreneurs has Begun in Cooperation with Medeniyet University and Tuzla Municipality

With the project prepared by Tuzla Municipality Women’s Entrepreneurship Center (KAGİM) in cooperation with Istanbul Medeniyet University, it was planned to provide training to female entrepreneurs on various subjects in 12 different branches. 14 of our professors will support the project, which is implemented under the leadership of Assoc.Prof. Ayşegül SAĞKAYA GÜNGÖR, member of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Political Sciences. The main purpose of the planned vocational training was announced as providing the women of Tuzla with the necessary professional and technical knowledge about entrepreneurship.

This important initiative, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, aiming to develop female entrepreneurship and female entrepreneur’s empowerment in our country, will be implemented at the Tuzla Municipality Women’s Entrepreneurship Center through the Istanbul Development Agency. In the Center; it was planned to provide vocational training on important issues such as entrepreneurship, customer relations, accounting, product photography, digital marketing, patent and license readership, tradesman exemption, e-commerce, sales marketing, foreign trade, IT law, TÜBİTAK, SME and KOSGEB supports that an entrepreneur need to know and will enable the development of small enterprises.

The announcement regarding the courses planned within the scope of the project was made by Tuzla Mayor Şadi Yazıcı on November 19, International Women Entrepreneurs Day. Within the scope of the project, for which applications are now being received, it is aimed to provide a three-month consultancy program and mentoring activities at the end of the 6-month training program, thus ensuring the sustainability of the talents of women entrepreneurs and enabling them to commercialize their ventures.

Medeniyet University and Tuzla Municipality have undertaken a nice project together to encourage women entrepreneurs to participate more in the business world and provide them with the necessary support. Thanks to this project, a big step will be taken in supporting women entrepreneurs and developing their skills.
