With the cooperation of Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine and Department of Dermatology, the 4th School of Family Medicine Dermatology was held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Istanbul Medeniyet University South Campus.
This year, School of Dermatology was held for the 4th time and organized by Head of the Department of Dermatology Prof. Dr. Mehmet Salih GÜREL and Head of Family Medicine Department Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sargın and Congress secretary Prof. Dr. Vefa Aslı Erdemir. It started with the opening speech of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Sadrettin Pençe, who underlined the importance of such meetings for vocational training and thanked the organizing committee and the participants
Organized primarily for family physicians to provide quality education and to raise healthy individuals, the event covered 15 main topics discussed in six sessions, including “Skin infections with case studies,” “Children, pregnant women, and the oral mucosa with case studies,” “Itchy skin disorders,” “Cutaneous adnexal disorders,” “Treatment and skin care.” Clinical and treatment approaches of common skin diseases in primary care were explained by the dermatologist speakers..
About 300 family physicians, specialists, assistants, and faculty members from different higher education institutions or in private practice in Istanbul and other provinces came together and shared their expertise for the purpose of partnerships for goals. At the end of each session, a short quiz was held in which all the people in the hall could participate online, and book awards were given to the participants who scored the highest points. We would like to thank our faculty members and participants who organized the full-day meeting, about which we have received a lot of positive feedback.
