Psychology Club Organized an Event on “Autism and the Business Life of Individuals with Autism”

IMU Psychology Club organized an online event called “Autism and Business Life of Individuals with Autism” on April 1, 2021, as part of the World Autism Awareness Day. The speaker of the event was Psychologist Alperen AŞANBUĞA. Fazilet Şevval Sucuk, a student of the Department of Psychology, moderated the event.

In this event, jointly organized by the social responsibility and academic activities team of the club, the concept of autism, the working areas of individuals with autism, the role of individuals with autism in their work areas, the responsibilities of individuals with autism in business life, and the susceptibility of individuals with autism for teamwork in business life were discussed. In addition, Psychologist Alperen AŞANBUĞA provided examples of the behaviors and attitudes of individuals with autism in the sector he works in and made inferences about the points to be considered. After the presentation, a quiz contest was held with questions about the content of the presentation, such as, “What are the most difficult points of individuals with autism in business life?” and “Which institution and organization supports individuals with autism in business life?” The session ended with the presentation of prizes to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of the competition.
