Istanbul Medeniyet University continues to organize free training and certificate programs to support the professional and personal development of its students.
“Scientific Literacy” training was organized by our University Department of Library and Documentation to support the self-improvement of our students. The training, which was held face to face on March 22, 2022, at the Ziraat Bank Conference Hall of our University, was given by our university faculty member Assoc.Dr. Özcan Erkan AKGÜN. A total of 60 people who applied online attended the training, which was free and open to outside participation.
During the training, the participants were informed about what the knowledge is and its limitations; from which sources and how scientific knowledge can be obtained; difficulties in obtaining; how scientific knowledge can be followed, how it can be used in research, and what to pay attention to when using it; how to cite sources when using information.
