Teoman Duralı Philosophy Research Club Organized a Culture and Art Trip

Teoman Duralı Philosophical Studies Club, one of the student groups of our university, organized a cultural and art trip called “Art Movements Workshop” to Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum on May 18, 2022.

The purpose of the tour, which was carried out with the participation of the club members, was to see and examine the art movements in a practical way in the museums of our city that play an important role in the preservation of cultural heritage. Within the scope of the trip, under the guidance of club advisor Prof. Dr. Oktay Taftalı from the Department of Philosophy, the beginning of art movements and modern art movements were examined. In addition, social, political and scientific developments that played a role in the formation of art movements and emerging new art movements were discussed. After the practical examinations accompanied by comparisons of classical art and modern art, the trip ended with conversations on art.
