As Istanbul Medeniyet University, we see education as a process far beyond vocational training. For this reason, we prioritize supporting the personal development of our students as well as their vocational training.
Our University’s Creative Writing and Reading Club organized a free culture and art excursion to Saraçhane Exhibition Hall on May 22, 2022.
With the belief that the potential of art to create emotional impact and intellectual awareness in people is significant for sustainable cultural and artistic development, the event showcased a total of 176 works, including canvases, drawings, sketches, scribbles, and doodles.
The excursion provided participants with the opportunity to explore the diverse aspects of art and embark on a journey into the creative worlds of the artists. Notably, the exhibition featured works by artists who are not only recognized as poets but also known for their skills as painters. This allowed the attendees to discover the power of both words and colors in the expressions of these multi-talented artists on canvas.
Members of the club had the chance to not only view the exhibited works but also delve into the sources of inspiration and creative processes of the artists. The event sparked meaningful discussions about the artists’ creations, leading to an interactive experience among the participants, where they could deeply contemplate the strength of art.
