“Independent Teacher Independent Future” event was organized by Young Green Crescent Student Club of our university. The event, which was held at the entrance of the Ziraat Bank Library on November 24, 2022. A total of 200 people attended the event, which was free and open to outside participation.
Main purpose of the event was to raise awareness of our teachers and teacher candidates who have an impact on our future generations, about raising an independent generation. Participants left their handprints with finger paints on a cloth in the event. How teachers and teacher candidates can fight against addiction, which has become a common problem among students today, was explained with examples. Additionally, flower seeds were planted in cardboard Green Crescent cups and given as gifts to the participants at the event. In this way, paper cups were reused and awareness was raised about waste reduction.
