“İstanbul School” Workshops was Provided for Free in Our University in Scope of Educational Support for Our Students

Istanbul Medeniyet University continues to organize free training and certificate programs to support the professional and personal development of its students.

“Istanbul School” workshops was organized by our University Department of Library and Documentation to support the self-improvement of our students. The training, which was held face to face at our university Ziraat Bank Library Hasan Polatkan Conference Hall started on March 15, 2022 and continued for 10 weeks. Nearly 50 people attended the training given by Zafer SÖĞÜT, free of charge and open to outside participation, every week.

In the first nine weeks of the training, presentations were made to the participants introducing Istanbul and the civilizations that existed in Istanbul. With these presentations, important information was given about the historical center of Istanbul, the Sultanahmet Urban Archeology Area, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, the Istanbul Land Walls Protection Area, and the cultural heritage in these areas. In the last week of the training, Istanbul events were organized.
