Product Innovation in Technology Discussed at the “Civilization Technology Days-3” Event Organized by Medeniyet Techno Club of our University

The 3rd of the “Civilization Technology Days” event, traditionalized by the Medeniyet Techno Student Club of our university, was held online on 8-9 May 2021. The event, where competent people from different sectors met with students, took place in 5 sessions for 2 days.

Within the scope of supporting domestic technology development, research, and innovation for industrial diversification and increasing value in industrial products, the Traditional Civilization Technology Days event started by a presentation on cyber security with Selda AYDOĞMUŞOĞLU in the first session. AYDOĞMUŞOĞLU shared her experiences and knowledge about cyber security in the sector. She talked about the importance of cyber security in technology and drew attention to its role in the development of secure network and infrastructure. In the second session, Ali ÇIFTÇI made a presentation on social engineering. ÇİFTÇİ explained the social engineering techniques and various infiltration methods to the participants. He touched upon the significant increase in access to secure communication technologies and the issues that should be considered in terms of social engineering from people’s internet access. In the first session of the second day, Emre GÖZEN, an engineer at Aselsan, gave information to the participants in the field of IoT or internet of things. He talked about the details of the communication between objects that can access the Internet and other related technological concepts. Ömer CENGIZ from Global AI Hub made a very useful presentation on Artificial Intelligence. In his presentation, CENGİZ touched upon many topics such as the importance of artificial intelligence, its development from past to present, the areas where it is used and its place in product innovation. Emre Yazıcı, the last guest of the last session, made an important presentation about Data Science. After talking about what data science is, YAZICI mentioned that it has a very important contribution to the growth of the technology industry with its role in the processing of big data emerging in the developing and consuming world. Thus, the interview part of the event was completed.

As a result of the Kahoot competition held on the topics covered at the end of the event, gifts were given to the top three participants. The Civilization Technology Days-3 event ended by giving certificates of participation to the participants.
